Plan and Elevation

The field is 32 units deep, but the top view flattens it. Looking straight down, you cannot read how high anything is.

Two views that share an axis

An engineering drawing shows a part from above, the plan, and from the front, the elevation. Each view looks straight down an axis. Ours share X, so screen-right is +X in both:

top view     looks along −Y     up the screen is −Z     right is +X
side view    looks along −Z     up the screen is +Y     right is +X
the swing    one 90° turn about X, in 0.8 s

Swinging from one to the other is a quarter turn about X, so screen-right stays +X the whole way round and nothing slides sideways.
