Separating Axis Test

The lab

This course takes apart CarCollision, the crash code from lesson 1.6, Car Crashes, of Endless Rampage Highway. It grants no credits: you finished the series, so you already own every component it uses.

Every lesson runs in one lab, the highway as it stood at the end of lesson 1.7. It has the road, the forest, your car, the tuning panel and traffic, so there are boxes to hit. Series owners download it free:

Copy public/scenes/EndlessHighway-lesson-8/scene.json over src/scenes/endlessrampage.json and reload. If the tuning panel still holds values from the series, open it with the backquote key and press Reset.

Lesson 1.6 said boxContact tries four lines and quits at the first gap. This lesson is about why four lines are enough, what "overlap" means on each one, and which line becomes the push.
