Waves and Noise

This lesson starts from the lab of lesson 1, with the real hash3 back in place.

Starting point

Lesson 1.1 wrote the centre line as three sine waves added up, and lesson 1.5 grew the woods from smooth noise. That left two things unsaid: why those three waves, with lengths that look picked at random, and why the forest uses noise when a few more waves would be cheaper.

Two numbers settle both: how sharp the sharpest bend is, and how far you drive before the pattern comes round again.
